The main purpose of the trip was to visit family in Wales. We also visited North Yorkshire, caught up with some old friends, and visited the village of "Goathland" the village used in the filming of the popular British TV series Heartbeat.
Our travels took us from Wales and England through many interesting countries in Europe and a stop-over in Dubai on the way home. Over a period of nearly 6 weeks we saw a total of 9 countries. We experienced the history of central eastern Europe particularly the horrors of world war 2 and its impact on Poland; and saw the modern, rapidly developing, Dubai.
The building photo is a picture of a typical Bavarian building located in the old town square in Frankfurt. I found this style particularly beautiful and quaint. I hope you like it too!
