Also I enjoyed listening to this story of the book 'Shy the Platypus' by children's author Leslie Rees which was first published in 1940. National Library of Australia has now republished this heritage edition of the book going back to the original text and including some new illustrations, as well as some beautiful drawings from its own collection. Searching through the ABC site http://www.abc.net.au/radio/, I found this a very interesting story on Townsville City mobile library. A video on the driving mobile library weekly trip to Magnetic Island. It also gives a commentary from the staff and the clients that use the service. By clicking the following link, you can read the full story yourself. I think it's well worth the visit http://www.abc.net.au/local/audio/2012/02/08/3426082.htm
